The Story

Founded 2014 after Cross volunteered at a dispensary and saw a gap for potent, portable edibles; Kushy Punch built its reputation on 100mg gummies as a single-dose format aimed at high-tolerance consumers. The brand was upended in October 2019 when California regulators raided Vertical Bliss's unlicensed Canoga Park facility and seized nearly $21M of unlicensed product (including 7,200 unlicensed Kushy Punch vapes and records of 3.3M diverted gummies over 18 months valued at $64M); CA revoked both state licenses on Nov 21 2019, and BCC filed for civil penalties Sept 2020.

100mg single-gummy format (10mg × 10 or single 100mg piece), sugar-free line, Recover 2:1 THC:CBD "wellness" sub-line, fast onset messaging. Historically one of the best-distributed CA edibles brands pre-revocation

Frequently Asked

Kushy Punch is a California-born edibles brand founded in 2014 by Ruben Cross, known as the original 100mg potent-gummy format for high-tolerance consumers. The brand relaunched under Michigan licensee Exclusive Brands (AU-P-000099) in 2024/2025 after its original California producer Vertical Bliss lost its state licenses in 2019.

Wellgreens Pacific Beach carries eight 100mg Kushy Punch gummies priced $11.99–$12.99, including sugar-free options (Blue Raspberry, Lychee, Watermelon, Pom Berry 10:5 THC:CBN), the Blueberry Recover 2:1 THC:CBD wellness variant, Peach CBD, Peach Mango, and Strawberry.

Kushy Punch pioneered the 100mg single-gummy format (10mg × 10 or one 100mg piece) with fast-onset messaging, and it extends beyond mass-market fruit gummies into a sugar-free line and a Recover 2:1 THC:CBD wellness sub-line.

The 100mg square gummy tile with the embossed logo is the iconic Product, anchored by the sugar-free line and the Recover 2:1 THC:CBD Blueberry wellness gummy.
