Frequently Asked

Oakfruitland is a family-owned, minority-owned California cannabis brand founded in 2018–2019 in Oakland's Fruitvale neighborhood. It positions itself as "authentic premium craft cannabis accessible to everyone," built by legacy-market cultivators who transitioned to the licensed market and launched their own brand in 2021.

Wellgreens Pacific Beach stocks 19 Oakfruitland Products including 7g and 14g flower (Oak-Lato, Beach Break, Biscotti Plus, Orange Creamsicle, Pre-98 Bubba Kush), plus Cured Resin and Live Resin AIO vapes and Live Resin cartridges in strains like Guavalicious, L To The OG, Permanent Marker, and Super Boof.

Oakfruitland combines mid-tier premium pricing with indoor vertical-farm infrastructure, proprietary house genetics, and independent minority ownership rooted in Oakland. It retains hand-trim craft sensibilities at scale through heavy investment in Pipp vertical farming and Fluence LED lighting.

Oak-Lato is Oakfruitland's flagship — an indica with earthy and berry notes, and the brand's first in-house strain. Other signatures include V-Power (Jealousy × Gelato 41), Sugar Coded, the Y2K heritage series, and The Bar proprietary vape hardware.

Oakfruitland has been featured in High Times cultivar reviews and Jon's Stone-Cold Cop List (with Oak-Lato specifically mentioned), and was a Hall of Flowers 2025 participant. The brand was also profiled by Cannabis Business Times in 2024 for its LED and vertical farming strategy.
